Our goal is promoting your short stories – fiction, real life, tales, science fiction, etc. – to both the general public, and the inner book world. Our site is extensively advertised to both the public and the publishing world. The stories you submit remain your property, and we have instituted several safeguards so your writing cannot be copied electronically.

We have several staff writers who will be contributing from time-to-time, and we’ll also publish some folk tales and poetry occasionally. To encourage everyone’s participation we will, starting October 2009, award prizes for the two most popular stories submitted during the month. To start off these will be $100 for the most popular and $50 for the second most popular – in case of a tie the prizes will be pooled and divided equally. In addition the most popular author(s) will be recognized with the publication of their photo and a brief biography with contact information to further promote their writing. This will be determined by the stars under each story. You may rate the stories on a scale of 1-10 and your vote will automatically be averaged throughout the month. The stories will only be eligible for the prizes in the  month they are submitted so obviously those submitted in the first days each month will have the most exposure to the ratings. Also feel free to add your comments on the boxes below each story. Constructive comments are always welcome by writers who are constantly trying to improve their craft.

Anyone can submit their story by sending it to our email in either a Microsoft Word or .TXT document. We will then publish the story within 24 hours. Once you become an established writer, we can also enroll you as such, and you will have direct access to the site to publish your works. Please be sure all submissions have been checked for proper grammar and spelling. At this time, we are only able to accept items written in English. Hopefully in the future we will be able to expand our language selection – please realize the translation function is a strict machine translation and the flavor of the worlds may be lost.

We retain the right to refuse any story if it is found to be offensive or pornographic. We will be glad to publish your sensual stories as long as it is not taken too far. Remember children have access to the site. If there is a request for a category for young children’s stories let us know, and we can make a “sub-site” for those.
