The re-opening of the college was great, especially for the final year students. They were ringing and riding about the college campus in a happy mood. It was really hurting that they had only one year left in college to enjoy at most. It has been wonderful all the four year of their bachelor degree, especially with Mike and Emily as their classmates. Time has just flown in a super fast way leaving them now only with memories of the past and one more year to add up to the memory.

The garden and the verandah were filled with the final year students, they were ragging the first year students and were enjoying high time for the past four years. They were all confused as to why Emily has not come to college. She used to be the first person in the college even before security guards open the doors. She is a basketball player, and she almost stays at college all the time. As she says in hostel far from home, she likes to spend most of the time with Mike, playing basketball. One could find them at the basketball court often fighting with each other for the ball and a goal.

However, today both of them were not present. Lucia ran and came right around the corner of library and shouted “Friends, just follow me, I do not know such a thing will happen to our Emily, she is in danger let us go out to help her”, was her yelling. All the students gathered and followed in her direction. She ran into the library and to the fourth floor, went to the second row third table, and sat opposite to a girl with her book covering her face.

All of them followed her and now the library just turned out to seem a cinema theater with all people rushing for a super hit film. It was almost houseful as they parked before the chair. Slowly, Lucia removed the book from the girl sitting opposite, and it was Emily dozing on the chair. Boys were shouting in thunders, their claps just shook her awake, and she argued that she was not asleep until six in the morning and just now, she slept. Girls supported her and boys did not.

Now the entire team left Emily alone and ran to the fifth floor, third row second chair, a boy was holding book upside down in the chair. When the book was removed, he was found to be dozing. Now girls shouted in huge thunders. They did not accept his explanation that he slept just now.

Yes, it was all a bet, a game that they always play. The day before Mike called Emily and asked her to bring hundred dollars to have a party and enjoy the final year. However, Emily refused and this grew out to be big fight. They had bet with each other that they would sit the full night until the next morning in the library and study a book. Both now lost the game. Of course, all students knew that they would definitely lose. They have never touched books for years.

Now the next competition between them was in the basketball court. They were terrific in their goals and always Mike would somehow win the game cheating Emily. This is the usual occurrence, and they would end up rolling, fighting each of the other. When they were rolling, principal of the college came before them and called Emily. Mike was happy that Emily is going to be thrashed or suspended out of the college. Just to his surprise principal, Mr. Jack said that she has to do a favor for him. Now Emily was getting the sharp attention of all the students, she felt proud regarding the principal asking her help. Mr. Jack continued, he said that his daughter Tina who was doing her three years of education in Australia, had some problems there and she had to shift to this college the next day. Therefore, jack wanted Emily to take care of her as she is new to the environment and the final year students would rag her. Emily is a bit bold and no one could near a girl when she is with her. Therefore, this was the reason for Jack to get help from Emily.

Next day, all boys were eagerly waiting for Miss. Tina. They were all just imagining about how she would be, and how she would be with them. When they were expecting her in a car and other hi-tech transports, she just entered the college in her two-wheeler, and there fell Mike at her beauty. It was of course love at first site. He tied a friendship band to Tina and Tina also loved him at the first site. They entered the class and there was their favorite English teacher Miss. Sheena, who is excellent in teaching poetic and descriptive languages to students. She started her day’s class with the definition of love. Mike did not remove his eyes from Tina. Now Sheena noticed it and she asked Mike to say the definition of love. Mike was thinking for some time and remembered that he tied the friendship band to Tina, and they way she accepted it. Keeping this in mind, he boldly said that, “Love is friendship”, without knowing that this statement would make an impact on Emily’s mind too.

Emily and Mike have been the best counterparts for years but Emily never had an idea of loving Mike. She was his friend, she would be his friend forever. This thought existed long back, but now she is in love with Mike. She now started liking his touch and being with him. She felt very graceful with him. However, at this point of time, she noticed Mike still teasing her and being close to Tina. Tina is a typical modern girl and her dressing style was sensual that any boy would fall for her. She wore micro and miniskirts, and she was of course sensual. Emily always wore a jean and the braveness in her gave the look of confidence and the look of a male. Rather than seeing her as a girl, Mike was practiced looking at her as a boy. This is how he behaved with her. This was bothering Emily much. Though Emily was away from home, she never felt bad because her hostel warden just takes care of her like a mother. Emily loves her so much, and she used to daily say her feelings to her and cry. Mrs. Rose got her beautiful sensual clothes to put on. She taught her how to dress sensually and attractively.

Now Emily was determined to somehow get Mike’s attention and went boldly to college. Right at the gate security guard laughed at her, and she felt so complex about it. When she went before Mike, Mike was first looking at her with his eyes wide opened, and then he bursts into laughter unable to control it. This broke Emily’s heart and she ran crying. Mike always had his love for Emily, and he ran behind her, and he said, “You look beautiful in your own ways and not by the dress, so be as you are”. Emily just hugged him and kissed him. She was happy that Mike understood her, and she felt so happy that she jumped and ran to hostel to tell Mrs. Rose. Rose advised her to use the situation and propose to Mike.

Emily was running in the fields thinking of how to propose to Mike, as she was running, she saw Mike running towards her. She felt that God has given her the gift right away, and she has to take it. She just came near Mike, and she said that she had to discuss something with him. Now Mike just kissed her on her cheeks and closed her mouth. He said that he has something more important to speak about. Emily was just waiting for this moment. She has yearned for Mike to always say that he loves her. Now she was ready to hear those words. Mike very easily uttered, “Am in love with Tina”. These words just broke Emily to all extent, but she could not say anything to it. She loves Mike and she wants Mike to be happy with all he loves. She now ran away to hostel and packed all her clothes and left the college the next day without informing anyone except Rose. Rose just informed this to Mike and Mike was now running to railway station along with Tina to get Emily back to college. The train was about to start and Mike came running. He asked Emily to get down, but she was firm in her decision, and she did not utter the reason for her departure. Tina could understand what Emily felt, but she could do nothing about it. Emily just left Mike with a last kiss and hug.

This was the entire story written by Tina to her daughter Emily when she died. Yes, Tina and Mike lived happily for two years, and they got a beautiful daughter as a present of their love. However, as soon as Tina gave birth to her daughter, she was in serious condition. Doctors did all they could, but they could not get Tina’s health back to the normal condition. Tina wrote ten letters to her daughter. She gave the letters to Mike’s mom and asked her to give to her daughter on her every birthday. She named her daughter Emily. Now it was Emily’s tenth birthday, she was reading the last letter written by her mom before she had died. Tina had mentioned all the love of Emily, and how she loved her dad more than she loved Tina. She also attached her photo of Emily and had stated “It would be only Emily who could take care of your dad and you”.

Mike has never thought of another girl in his life. He felt life only with four girls, his mother, Emily, Tina and finally Emily, his daughter. When Emily left, he was half-dead. When Tina left, he was totally ruined. He just sustained now because of his daughter Emily, who gave the affection of his best friend Emily and love of his wife Tina. He loved Emily, his daughter than his soul. Today was his daughter’s birthday. Every birthday she would be given her mother’s letter and Emily never discussed about what her mom had written to her to anybody. She used to discuss it only to her grandma, Mrs. Amelia.

Emily just dressed like the elder Emily, and she just swung before her father. Mike was in great shock, after long years he just saw Emily, his friend in form of his cute girl. He just hugged and said, “I love you Emily”. His daughter giggled and questioned him who was Emily, he just stammered and said that was her and no one else. Emily Mike learnt from her mother’s letter  that Emily was somewhere near Manhattan  .She requested her father that she wants to go on a trip to Manhattan.  However, Mike said that he had some important meeting, and he would be out for two business days. He scolded Emily to be quiet at home and enjoy her winter holidays.

At Manhattan, it was Emily’s engagement. After twelve years, she finally decided to marry Mr. Kevin. He was her relative and her mother compelled her to marry Kevin. Though her mother knew that she loved Mike, she wants her daughter to forget those mishaps and get into a family life with Kevin. Kevin loved Emily right from childhood, his love towards Emily was much stronger than the love of Emily towards Mike. This made Emily to accept to his proposal, and it was their engagement. After engagement, Kevin said that he had to move outstation for about a week, and he would return sooner. He asked Emily to take a break and have a fantastic experience in the winter camp arranged at Manhattan. Now Emily Mike and Emily both left to winter Camp Manhattan City. Emily Mike left with her friends and grandma. She was searching for Emily in the crowd.

Bunch of balloons in hand and sweetness in face was girl standing near the edge of a tunnel. She was just welcoming the kids into her tent and giving them balloons and chocolates. Emily Mike was now so intensely looking at her face it was the same one in the photo her mother had attached to the letter. Now she ran towards Emily and stood and watched her closely. Emily came near her and asked sorry, as there were no balloons left out to present to the kid. Emily Mike just pulled her by hands and made her seat and then kissed on her cheeks. Emily too retreated to the kiss and asked her name. Emily Mike replied, that her name was Emily in the same fashion just like Emily would do it in her college days. Emily was now surprised to look at the girl, she could now remember the college days, where she would introduce herself to be Emily just in the same style. Emily now patted the child on her head and said that her name too was Emily. Emily Mike just questioned her why her parents named her Emily, Emily replied because they liked that name. Now Emily in turn asked the kid why her parents named her Emily. The kid replied,” it was because my parents love you”. Emily was a little confused at this statement but just cheered the child and showed her a tent to stay. They were all settled and Emily Mike had good time with her friends and Emily.

Mike returned home to find out a letter and a key. Emily Mike mentioned that she and Grandma Amelia are leaving to Manhattan, and she has asked her daddy to come soon to Manhattan to enjoy the winter camp. Mike just took the key and got to a travel agency. As all the tickets were sold away due to the winter camp, he had to take temporary travel in Lorries, cars and carriages. When he reached Manhattan city by night 12.00, there was a live program shooting. The live program was to convey love to your loved ones. Mike entered the crowd and took the mike with his back turned to camera, the hosting girl made signs to turn towards the camera, but Mike was tensed regarding Emily Mike and just pulled the Mike and shouted,” Emily I love you, just don’t leave me”. Now the girl just turned him towards the camera, and he was now facing the camera. Emily at the tent was watching the live show, hearing Mike’s voice saying, “I love you” to her, she ran towards the TV and sat down to see him. She then ran towards the tent where Emily Mike was sleeping hugging a photo. Emily just went near her and took the photo. To her shock, it was the photo of Tina. She just kissed Emily Mike on her forehead, and she could not hide her tears. That night she slept with all her old memories towards Mike.

Next morning, Mike reached the winter camp, and called aloud,” Emily”. Both the Emily and Emily Mike turned and Mike was shocked to see Emily there. He just could not believe his eyes that he would see his beloved friend after a long time. He just ran towards her to hug her, but now she stayed away and just both of them dint know what to do. Emily Mike was expecting them to hug and kiss, but both were just speaking and stammering at their meeting. That night Emily was sitting on a chair and Mike approached her. They were speaking for a long time and when they said good night, Mike came near her to kiss her on her cheeks. This was their usual practice when at college, but Emily went back to avoid it. Mike just smiled and said, “You have changed a lot Emily, you look more feminine, and you blush a lot nowadays”. Saying this he just blushed and went away. Emily too went into her tent thinking of the moment. Emily Mike and Amelia who were hiding near the bush nearby were just in great distress, things did not work out as they planned. Next day Emily Mike planned for a basket ball game and now Mike and Emily was on their form. They started their favorite basketball. However, unusually Emily was now not in her jeans. She was dressed traditionally with the long gown, which showed her femininity and beauty for the first time to Mike.

When the game was at its peak, Mike as usual started to cheat. However, this time the cheating was different. It not only raised the pulse of Emily but also of others who were watching it. Mike just brushed her hips and he clutched him with his hands. This made Emily stammer a bit and she was now getting sensual with his touch, using the chance Mike made a goal and all who were seeing it were in awe. Emily Mike was happy that her plan worked out. Now Emily started fighting that he has cheated her and just like their old days, they were shouting at each other saying, “You are a cheater”.

Suddenly rain started pouring in very fast. Emily and Mike started getting the kids into their tents so that they do not catch a cold. When Mike was busy, getting the kids in, Emily was jumping high in rain showing almost her thighs and hips. Mike was just looking at her. He had been with her for more than fifteen years. However, he had never felt her so beautiful before. Noticing that Mike was looking at her, she just ran away to a stand umbrella, which could shade nearly ten people. Mike followed her and stood near her. Suddenly Mike just held out his hands asking for hers. Unsure of what he wants Emily was perplexed. Mike called aloud, “let us dance”. Emily just signaled that how they could dance without music. Mike gestured that this rain would act as music. They danced and danced for nearly thirty minutes. They just forgot each other and finally Mike just kissed her for the first time in her lips and held hear closely. Emily touched his face and kissed him in his eyes. When she kissed him she just accidentally saw her hands and the engagement ring in her hands, she just pushed him away and ran away from that place. She ran far and fell on the ground. She cried aloud not knowing what to do.

She heard Mike nearing her and she said, “I couldn’t hide this from you, but to be frank am in love with you”, a voice in return said “am too in love with you!”Instead of being surprised, she was shocked to hear the voice. It was from Kevin. Kevin has just arrived to pick her from the winter camp. They are going to get married in two days and hence Kevin has returned from his business trip to pick her. He just took her to the winter camp, called out everyone, said that everyone were all welcome to the marriage, and bade good-bye to all of them. Mike came running and he was almost in love with Emily. He does not know what to say and how to say. He just looked at Emily with his eyes speaking to her. Emily too was locked in his eyes. Emily Mike had all her dream totally shattered. She now did not know what to do and how to convince Kevin to help her get Emily married to her dad. She felt this to be in fact foolish, but something in her said that she could do it. All entered the marriage hall and all formalities were going on. Emily Mike just was searching for Kevin. Mike searching for Emily went to the first floor where he found Emily standing near the window crying. Seeing Mike, she did not react.

Mike went in smiled and wished her a happy married life. Emily could not hide her tears and she just ran away from the room and left him alone. Mike too could not control his tears. However, he could do nothing but standing quiet. Emily Mike found Kevin and she explained all what has happened right from the beginning, hearing to the kid Kevin was pulsing in rage. Emily Mike though this would do something good, but she never expected to make Kevin angry and in turn make the situation worse. She just caught Kevin’s hand and asked him to help; Kevin just pushed her away and just went to the marriage hall. He asked all of them to stop what they are doing and called Emily louder. Emily just appeared on the stairs before him with urge, because Kevin was reacting like a thunder. He asked Emily to get down to the marriage hall immediately and the announced that he is not ready to wait even for minutes and he wants her right now. He just asked her get down and marries him immediately at that moment. Emily did not get down and her eyes were fixed with Mike.

Kevin just went up the stairs, pulled Emily down to the hall, and swung her to one end. Emily skid and fell down crying. Kevin just asked Mike to come to the marriage hall and called Emily now. Emily could not believe her eyes, she just came running and hugged Kevin. She thanked him for this gift. Kevin just had nothing more than pain and tears. However, he still said, “I had loved you from your childhood and I will always want to give you what you want.” Kevin was such a great man before everyone’s eyes now. His eyes were fully filled with pain and tears.

Mike and Emily were now married with each other and Emily Mike did see her mother’s soul wandering before her happily and thanking Emily Mike for her great achievement. Both Emily and Mike lived together happily for years with their daughter
